Classical Yang Style - Long Form
The Long Form is a lot longer than the Short Form and is performed with a
more visual martial intent. It includes all the same basic moves more often
repeated and with some modifications, plus a few new ones. The list of moves below cannot replace what is
learnt by attending a course with a qualified instructor. At the present,
the long form is only being taught to students who have completed and are
reasonably competent with the short form.
Classical Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan Long Form
The Long Form starts off practically the same as the Short
Form up to about 34. The additional familiar moves that have been inserted
are shown in green up to 55, when
things start getting a bit more mixed up. The text in
blue shows the familiar 'Grasp Sparrows
Tail' repeated routine. The text in red
shows the new moves that are unique to the Long Form.
The rest are all repeated moves from the Short Form and the finish from 146 is the same. |
